The Sunderland Point Residents' Association are organising an event on Tuesday 20th Oct at Overton Memorial Hall.

Peter Gilchrist, whose family have lived in the village for over 100 years, has some old glass photographic plates with pictures of the area dating from 1890-1910 and he will be showing these and discussing some of the history of Sunderland Village. There will be a licenced bar ;) and refreshments available and parking is available at the memorial hall. It starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £3; they are available in advance by calling 01524 858784 or on the evening.

All monies raised will go towards our on-going efforts to put defences in place to stop the erosion of the point end, which is getting worse each year and threatening the natural habitiat of the area.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me via the notice board

Many thanks
